Thomas Jefferson said, "The most valuable of all talents is never using two words when one will do." I'm Charlie Allenson, a content and integrated copywriter. I understand the value of the right words. And the power of pauses. I bring more than two decades of diverse content and copywriting experience to your project. Two decades of climbing inside each client's head to understand the message and communicate that message in the most human, relatable and actionable way possible. Because the success of a project depends on how well it connects with its audience.
I've worked at both small boutique agencies and global behemoths such as FCBGlobal where I was a bi-coastal creative director. I put this experience to work creating compelling concepts, content and copy for everything from CPG to B2B to non-profits to government agencies.
I also strongly believe in giving back so I volunteer as a music therapist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center playing a weekly guitar and vocal show for the cancer patients: Bad Jokes and Classic Rock. I was fortunate enough to be chosen New Yorker of the Week for my volunteer music work.
So that’s me in a nutshell but I look much better in actual clothing.
